Over the years there have been some amazing boy bands. If we want to go way back, The Beatles were sensational at the time. Even looking at recent years there were some amazing boy bands as well in the form of 98 Degrees, NSYNC, and Backstreet Boys. In more recent years there was also One Direction.

These days, now there are some new boy bands who are hitting the scene and are hitting off quite strong as well. Below are a few bands that you need to pay attention to. They are living proof that the boy band is alive and well.

3 Next Gen Boy Bands To FollowMembers Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, Zach Herron, Jack Avery, and Jonah Marais formed this band in September 2016 and have been doing a lot in the two years. Within that period of time, they’ve released three EPs, launched their debut single “Taking you” (released October 2016), and have recently released their latest single “Trust Fund Baby”. They even went on tour through the US in April.

The band has done a lot during those two years, but this band is getting a lot of success not because they are your typical boy band. In fact there are some big differences in what they do. For sure the band is all boys, they sing and have some cool moves. But they also play some unusual instruments like the cello.

Wonder how they pull that off? Well you’ll have to give them a listen.

PRETTYMUCHSimon Cowell has once again, done it again. Labeled as “the next One Direction,” this five-member band consists of Austin Porter, Brandon Arreaga, Nick Mara, Zion Kuwonu, and Edwin Honoret. For a while, the band focused on growing as cover artists, singing songs from Drake, Ed Sheeran, and Michael Jackson. After that they released their debut single “Would You Mind?” After that all last year the band worked on released many other singles but also did some collaboration work. Particular note was the collab with French Montana who released the piece “No More” followed by another song this year called “10,000 Hours.”

cncoLately there has been a wave of latin music that’s growing in popularity so it’s no surprise that a latin boy band would be popular as well. In fact this five-member band was part of bringing this wave along. The group consists of Richard Camacho, Christopher Vélez, Joel Pimentel, Zabdiel de Jesus, and Erick Brian Colón. Already the band is doing well by winning La Banda, a singing competition show which was created by Simon Cowell. The winner would land a 5-year record contract with Sony Music Latin. Already the band is doing well, releasing singles like “Tan Fácil” and “Quisiera,” followed by their debut album in August 2016 called Primera Cita. Last year, the band also teamed up with the band Little Mix to help work with their “Reggaetón Lento (Remix).” Currently, the band is working hard at releasing a new full-length album.
